On the Front side we see Saint Benedict holding a cross and the Rule of Saint Benedict. Around him, the inscription reads: “May we be strengthened by his presence in the hour of our death.” On Back side, the cross bears: C S S M L – “May the Holy Cross be my light” and N D S M D – “Let not the dragon be my guide". PAX at the top is the Latin word for Peace.
